Tom and I like munchies. We are not addicted but we do like to have something crunchy/salty at times. For the past several years, tortilla chips have been our go to. We also have them with weekly Mexican meals. This meant that we were blowing through two bags of tortilla chips a week - yikes. The weekly cost plus the fact that chips are hard to keep fresh on the boat told us we needed to make a change. No more tortilla chips at snack time. We made the switched to popcorn. Homemade popcorn. I don't mean bags in the microwave. I mean stove-top popcorn.
As a kid, my family would have stove-top made popcorn about once a week. It was always SO much fun to make it, spinning the top/lid of the popcorn pan to keep the popcorn from burning.
The popcorn pan itself is awesome. I have never seen another once exactly like it. When I left home, I took the popcorn pan with me. Tom was equally blown away by this kewl popcorn popping pan. *Yes, once again....we ARE that easily entertained.
It's fun to make, smells good, tastes great and somehow makes us smile inside and out.
