Free Food

s/v Honey Ryder has Isotherm freezer and fridge units
We like to eat.  I like to cook.  When we used to be commuter cruisers (flying in for a week at a time, every few months) I always seems to buy too much food.  When it came time to leave, I couldn't leave anything in the fridge or freezer or producewise.  So I would give away any remaining food that we didn't use during our week long holiday - onions, lemons, limes, eggs, opened BBQ sauce, dressing, butter, etc....usually there was a full time liveaboard close by that would take it.
Freezer is on the bottom, fridge on top.  Split top for opening helps keep cold in

Now we have become the liveaboards taking the "it will be tossed otherwise" food.  Sure!  No problem.  We now have a working freeze and fridge, we are not too proud to take free food.  Fellow cruisers that are leaving their boat for a month or so gave us two HUGE bags of food, essentially clearing out their freezer and filling ours up.  THANKS!  We will put it all to good use.
CHEESE!
*Update - the above cruisers just came knocking again with two more bags of groceries.  Woo Hoo!  Good stuff too.....my favorite......CHEESE!  In these bags is one of the best assortments of really good cheeses I have seen since we left KC - mainly because I am no longer buying nice cheeses (think cruisers budget).  Again, we so thank you so much!!
